The instructions are fairly straightforward, but there are so many different models and configurations for each bike sold. But when installed and put together properly, these bikes are top notch!
I would highly recommend these to anyone. But if you are unsure about putting them together, ask someone you know for help or take the whole box to a reputable bicycle shop to put them together. All in all. Amazing bikes!!
The only downside is the seat. It's rock hard, and without rear shocks, it's pretty uncomfortable.
He really loves it.
Unfortunately one bolt for gear guard was missing.
My wife called to customer service for the missing bolt.
And, she was impressed by their professional support.
Update:
I found the solution. I had to loosen the screw just below the center of the handle bars and rotate the handle bars and brake levers as one.
but is a good buy if you know what you needs are.
28 pounds is not so light but should be good enough for most adults to carry it with one arm. The seat is a bit hard but not so an issue for my use case.
Just be prepared to put everything together on it. Quality Dad/son time.😊
I purchased it for a gift. The recipient likes it very much.
Setup was relatively easy, all tools required came with the it. Took me about 30 mins to Setup.
My kid enjoys the bike.
The quality is decent enough for the money paid
Overall a good bike for a good price.
Things I like about this bike: it’s light weight although it’s steel frame, all parts in good shape, come with tools to assemble, paint looks good, and easy to work on, 21 gear to select, And good price. Overall it’s really nice to buy for a beginner trail biker, but you should avoid using it for some serious hard trail biking or downhill, that’s not what it made for.
Things I don’t like: one of the sticker is a little peel off; seat is not comfort after just 10mins riding, I’ll probably switch it to a better one; The third major gear takes longer than the first two gear to hook on; after suspension reach the bottom point, seems like it stays there and won’t release itself back( for this I’m not sure if that’s how it works so I’ll leave a question mark).
Bike isn’t that hard to assemble cuz major parts were ready, it’s my first time to put a bike together and I follow every steps on YouTube, only thing that vedio missing is to put the chain on. But you do need to adjust both front& back brakes.
It is a very well made bike, very sturdy, and was a snap to put together. I'm also very happy about the derailed guard. It has some significant wear in 3 months, but derailed looks like new.
I would urge any mom/dad to buy this bike. I would, however, suggest they get some flashing LED lights and put them on. The kid will love them and you get some peace of mind your are making poopkins way easier to see!
Was really easy to put it together. Most of it was pre assembled! Highly recommend
While the paint is of good color, it seems to be very thin. I peeled off the white barcode sticker and it took off a big piece of paint with it. Now I need to find some touch-up paint to seal off the steel from the environment before it rusts...
I normally check photos and reviews when buying online!
However,
huffy is generally a good brand from what I know about bikes anyway...
I have never put together a bike before but it seemed pretty straight forward without the manual, I just don’t care to read a manual.
All in all,
I was able to put the bike together within 1 hours time, again without reading the manual or having prior knowledge about how to assemble a bike!
So, not bad for a first timer and it didn’t fall apart on my ride with it (on/off road)!
When, I first took this bike for a ride immediately started playing with the gears to figure out what level I wanted the gears set at.
For some reason,
the tires that came with the bike seamed really comfy when riding it, compared to others I have ridden recently.
(They wear hard as rocks)
Also, the bike seat was rather uncomfortable but that’s a given with most bikes, I have a way more enjoyable huffy Seat downstairs... so, I’ll just swap them! (No big deal).
I love this bike and it’s easy to adjust to!
The only thing I don’t like about this transaction was that the post office (USPS) refused to deliver it because the packaging was to big and it was superrr frustrating!!!
So, they need to maybe have UPS or somebody else ship the item instead to resolve this issue!
If the shipping issue was fixed, I’d gladly give five stars but I’m rating this overall a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Assembly went well. I didn't have to adjust brakes or gears to get it working.
The one thing that stands out to me is that it is hard for him to shift into first gear because you have to wrench on the shifter fairly hard to pull the spring to 1st. My daughters have similar bikes and they have the same problem so it seems to be the design.
I would recommend this bike.
Very easy to put together. You do need a little bike tuning skills since you may have to fine tune the breaks and gear shifters. Otherwise great bike! Highly recommend.
