    To preface, I rarely buy LEGO sets above $50. So I'm very picky on what I hope for in a big set if I'm spending close to $200. I wasn't too disappointed by this set. Cal Kestis was great, despite the flaws... And it was hard to have figures standing in some areas of the ship- which I found annoying. but other than that.. .a great set!

    Expensive set. Honestly bought this for the bonus minifig but ended up being happy with the build. I got it during a lightning deal and haven't seen it drop that far since. Very happy I got it when I did. Between the space cost and space commitment, I haven't bought a star destroyer in a while. That said, it's definitely smaller than the earlier models and takes up less space. It's very well thought out and the minifigs are pretty solid, especially the Cal Kestis.

He also has several other Star Wars legos including a millennium falcon (I don’t know the technical Star Warsy names of the other ones) but this one is one of the biggest. We got it on Black Friday so it’s a good deal for this particular set. No surprises in anything having to do the set itself or assembly (missing pieces etc). He’s loved playing with it and displaying it in his room.

    It was shipped without Amazon packaging, and totally ruined a Christmas surprise for my son, who saw it when it was delivered. I went back to the item page, and did notice the small print stating that it would be delivered like that, but it was so small that I didn't notice it when I ordered it. I've never had Amazon deliver a LEGO set in its original product package. So just be aware to request Amazon packaging before you order if you're getting it as a gift. In the photo you can see it on the bottom of the stack. So frustrating. The item itself is of course, awesome.

    The process to build this star destroyer was rather fun and creative for the interior bridge design of the ship. Really liked the variety of imperial support staff minifigures and the holotable concept. The flatness of the bottom of this set is pretty awkwardly done but for the cheap price point it is easily ignorable.

    This set was great, clearly new and all the parts intact. My son had a great time putting it together. Thank goodness he wasn't home when it was delivered or the surprise would have been ruined. There was no outer box like Legos normally ship in, and the box itself had a pretty bad 'ding' in it. I'd be sure to keep that in mind before ordering from this seller.

    It could be built by older children, especially for use as a play-set. Instructions were clear, and the heft of this star destroyer really reflects the price tag. The dual injection mold on the stormtrooper helmet is an improvement over earlier versions. We finally got to reunite Cal and BD-1 (not included) as a bonus.

    This thing is awesome. I’ve seen people complain about the size compared to the last model, but it’s perfect. It was super fun to put together. Interior has a lot of detail. It’s very sturdy when handling. Doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall apart when holding. Probably my favorite build in my collection.

    My only issue is I wish that it had a display stand. I'm hoping a 3rd party developer will come out with one soon.

    One of the best sets I've built this year only second to the Concorde a great selection of figures to fill the spacious interior with plenty of room to pose and reenact scenes from the movies along with the 25th anniversary cal kestis mini figure with great front and back printing along with the printed plaque the set is wonderfully designed with UCS level details for every collector who wants a nice display piece and plenty of mini figures and spring loaded missiles to satisfy any one who wants to play and swoosh around the set with a sturdy construction for play and take-off overall a great set for kids and collectors alike at a very reasonable price!

    I had pre ordered it about a month a half before it was released and I was so excited for it. Day of delivery came and in the book says that it comes with stickers but I looked in the entirety of the box and there was no stickers. Can’t find it the system for the Lego set to order it and get it because it is as if it never came with stickers but the book clearly gives instructions on what number stickers to take out. Also as I’m building it the first thing you put together is the floor, the floor was very unstable and the pieces would not stay together, ignored it and kept building it. As I finally came to finish the set with no more issues, I pick it up by the support that it comes with and the weight is so much that the whole floor just starts to fall apart on the floor. Can’t put it together because I put one piece in and three new pieces come apart from the floor, kind of disappointed as I’ve built numerous legos before including ships like this and this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me with a Lego set.

    I love LEGO and love Star Wars! So naturally I had to preorder this set for it's August 1st release! Shipping was quick and got here on August 4th! Box was in mint condition, better than half the LEGO boxes you see at Walmart and Target. Figures were really cool - I was looking forward to that Cal Kestis Exclusive and it was a beauty! The ship is also fun to build and really cool to play with having some cool little playability features.
